Description
The Bracket holds the 18-inch half-moon deflector, creating an indirect setup on the Flexible 2nd-Grid in your XL Big Green EGG.
Truth be told, this half-moon set-up surprised us. We like the direct/indirect flexibility with the upper grid but the real surprise is having complete access to a full grid below. No half this, half that with the lower XL cooking grid.
Note: The Hanger does not work with the Big Green EGG EGGspander.

To set the Hanger, simply compress the Hanger legs inward, attach the back hook and then set the two front hooks. It takes less than a minute.

The set-up, pictured above, with the cast iron grid on the XL Woo’s lower ring is a fantastic reverse sear set-up. Yes, you can move the deflector in and out during a cook. Do not forget hand protection.
The Bracket is all 3/16″ 304 Stainless and fabricated by us in our wire shop.
